Logitech Harmony One Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — April, 2008

Logitech’s Harmony One is a nice improvement from previous universal remote controls. Compared to the Harmony Remote 880, it has much larger buttons for ease of use, and its touch screen display’s resolution has also been bumped up. The result is that the LCD appears sharper and brighter, though you’ll need to look at the screen if you click on it to be sure you picked the right button. There is a One Touch Control function, and with it you can program different tasks as one activity that can be triggered by the push of a button. Other features of the remote control include adding logos to your favorite channel and illuminated buttons. The lights turn off when the remote is idle to save battery life. The reviewer observed that after a few days of use, Harmony One’s glossy finish was full of fingerprint smudges. However, this did little to dampen his appreciation of the unit, and he concluded by giving the Harmony One his recommendation.
Pros:
-Above average setup software
-Color touch screen LCD display
-Lighter than previous version
-Better buttons
Cons:
-Expensive
-Must look at the screen to be sure to hit the right buttons
-Glossy finish prone to fingerprints
