Literature & Latte Ltd Scrivener Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — June, 2008

Writers who are Mac users will find Scrivener as an indispensible tool once they’ve tried it out, the reviewer claims. It is simple to use and has lots of tools to aid in the writing process. The layout is simple: the manuscript is located in the middle, access to the folders and files are on the left, while the scene synopsis, metadata, and stats are on the right. It has a drag and drop interface to make things simple. Plus, it can read Microsoft Word .doc files. One flaw it has is that it doesn’t automatically split the scenes. Overall, the reviewer found that the Scrivener is the most writer-friendly application for Mac users, winning the title of PC Magazine Editor’s Choice.
Pros:
-Attractive drag and drop interface
-Flexible
-Can easily import and export projects
-Designed for a variety of writing projects
Cons:
-Does not split scenes automatically
-Can’t import IE bookmarks
