Linksys WRT160N Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — March, 2008

It certainly doesn’t look cheap. The Linksys WRT160N, with its sleek, black clamshell with no antenna design should go nicely with your home décor. Sure, it may look nice, but will it perform? Starting from getting it up and running, the reviewer stated that it was a breeze. Setup was excellent, needing only a few clicks to get it done and over with. During tests, the WRT160N hit 100Mbps at 5 feet and 1 Mbps at 400 feet. Using the router with a WiFi phone produced some audio delays. However, the reviewer stated that it accurately streamed movies on an Apple TV with only a few paused frames. With its fresh design, solid performance, painless setup wizard, as well as encryption options such as WPA and WPA2, the Linksys WRT160N is indeed a worthy option.
Pros:
-Stylish design
-Solid Performance
-Excellent Setup
Cons:
-A bit more expensive
-No Gigabit Ethernet Port
-Short range compared with other Wireless N Routers
