Budget-printer hunters might want to look at the Lexmark X3650 Home & Student 3-in-1. It measures 18.1 x 12.5 x 7.0 inches. Editing and photo-viewing must be done via your PC since the X3650 lacks an LCD. It has a one-touch copying feature for printing via memory card slots or through PictBridge. The X3650 is a bit slower in almost all aspects compared to other all-in-ones. Startup time was at 42 seconds. Color documents were printed at a rate of 18 ppm, while black-and-white ones printed at 22 ppm. Despite the mediocre speed, the quality of the printed documents was good. The reviewer stated that the color documents looked almost as good as the original. A 4 x 6-inch photo took 35 seconds to print and came out quite decent. Unfortunately, the X3650 turned out to be the noisiest among all the AIOs tested by the reviewer. Also, the inks cost a fortune, ranging from $19.99 to $29.99. Despite these minor setbacks, the Lexmark X3650 Home & Student 3-in-1 is still a decent printer for students and home use.
Pros:
-one touch copying feature
-decent image quality
Cons:
-noisy
-no LCD
