Lenovo’s X200 offered great endurance, lasting for more than 5 hours - enough for a business flight from San Francisco to New York. But if you need more battery life, there's the Lenovo X200s. The nine-cell battery of the X200s provided excellent endurance, lasting 10 hours and 43 minutes. It also features a lightweight yet solid design with Lenovo’s standard matte black finish. The X200s has the requisite ports including an ExpressCard/54 slot and a lone SD Card reader. The excellent ThinkPad keyboard is still firm and responsive, though missing is a touchpad. Cursor control is done through the responsive TrackPoint. The 12.1-inch widescreen display provided crisp images, deep blacks, and color balance. However, the reviewer noted that viewing angles are limited to one person on either side of the screen. Security features include a biometric fingerprint reader and TPM circuitry. The X200s booted up in a decent 57 seconds. Benchmark scores are approximately 300 points higher than the category average. Wireless throughput is also great, providing 20.3 Mbps and 17.2 Mbps at 15 and 50 feet away respectively. With the nine-cell battery, it weighs 3.2 pounds. The Lenovo X200s has a durable design, excellent keyboard, a host of security features, and best of all, excellent battery endurance.
