The W700 is one powerful desktop replacement, and Lenovo just made it even better with the Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds. It features the same matte black finish ThinkPads are known for. The W700ds is huge, measuring 16.1 x 12.2 x 2.1 inches and weighing a full 11 pounds. The reviewer noted that the W700ds puts the entire desktop in one package - a full keyboard, Wacom tablet, and dual screens. Graphics enthusiasts will be happy with its 5.1 x 3.2-inch Wacom digitizer pad and stylus, though the latter requires a bit of patience to get used to. The primary display is a stunning 17-inch screen with a 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution. The reviewer stated that color reproduction and viewing angles on this screen are excellent. The secondary display is a smaller 10.6-inch portrait-mode LCD. For a reliable degree of color accuracy, the W700ds contains a built-in color calibrator. Given its size, the W700ds is packed with ports for connectivity. The quad core processor and 4GB of RAM combination scored nearly 2,000 points above the desktop replacement average. For wireless connectivity, it has the integrated Intel WiFi Link 5300 as well as an option for a WiMax card. The nine-cell battery lasted only 1 hour and 43 minutes. If you need a powerhouse desktop replacement, the ThinkPad W700ds will not disappoint.
Pros:
-has a secondary display
-excellent performance
-built-in digitizer
-good ergonomics

Cons:
-very heavy
-short battery life
-pricey
