If there was ever a laptop worthy of walking the runway, it would have to be the Lenovo IdeaPad U110. This gorgeously designed ultraportable with its flowing Tendril pattern and a glossy, piano-like keyboard is aimed for those who want style without sacrificing power. The U110 is small and light enough to carry around, though it does have a few trade-offs such as the lack of an optical drive. It features a plethora of ports to connect your peripherals. The keyboard looks great, though its flatness requires a learning curve. Its 11.1-inch display lacks a physical frame, making the system look even more sophisticated. Colors were crisp and extremely vivid. Though it does carry Dolby Home Theatre speakers, the reviewer noted that they sounded weak, even at full volume. Using the same facial recognition software found in the Y510, the U110 performed fast and accurate. Performance was slow during boot up, clocking in at 1 minute and 20 seconds. However, once past the boot period, everything worked fast. Benchmark scores were above average for its class. With its artistic design, excellent performance and a long battery life makes the Lenovo IdeaPad U110 a great choice for an ultraportable.
