It has a cap that covers the two FireWire ports and USB 2.0 dongle plug. The USB 2.0 plug hides away at the side of the unit, giving the Little Disk a solid look. While a lot can be said about its design, the Little Disk’s read speed may leave users wanting. A 5GB folder of mixed media took 5 minutes and 44 seconds to write on the Little Disk - a rate of 14.9 MBps. Read speed is quite disappointing, clocking in at a slow 18.2 MBps. It comes bundled with LaCieSync software which can sync e-mail accounts, files or even your entire drive.
