LG Vu Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — April, 2008

Touchscreen phones with multimedia capabilities are in, and LG is riding the wagon. It released the Vu, a sleek and elegant phone that is immediately compared with the iPhone due to their similarities. The Vu is lightweight, weighing only 3.2 ounces. It also offers a large and crisp 3-inch display with 240 x 400 widescreen resolution. The interface looks clean and fresh without the clutter of icons. The reviewer noted that delays were rare and that the UI was easy to use due to its haptic feedback touchscreen. And because the Vu is a touchscreen only phone, the reviewer stated that the on-screen keyboard is essential and here, the Vu got a passing score. For multimedia entertainment, the Vu offers mobile TV, music as well as web browsing. The Vu also have a 2MP camera that delivered good results. However, the reviewer said that footages captured using the video mode was poor, with washed out colors and heavy pixelation. Call quality with the Vu is clear with almost no background noise. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the iPhone and is willing to put up with some minor quirks, the LG Vu is a good choice.
Pros:
-Sleek design
-Lightweight
-2 MP Camera
-Mobile TV
-Good call quality
Cons:
-Slow web browsing
-No over-the-air downloads
-Weak earphones
