The reviewer found the DiMage X60 very enjoyable to use, even if it’s thicker than most compact cameras. After all, it’s still very lightweight (4.8 ounces) and has a small volume compared to most. The reviewer also preferred the USB and AV jacks of the X60 over the docking cradles common to compact cameras today. Even if the camera is fairly small, a 2.5 inch LCD fits at the back and an internal 3x zoom doesn’t protrude from the camera body at all. The X60 also houses 15 MB of internal memory, which is useful for testing because the camera doesn’t come with a beginner SD card. One of the notable things about Konica Minolta cameras is their easy-to-understand interface, and that definitely shows in the X60. The only symbols that were hard for the reviewer to understand were the scene modes, but you can look them up in the manual. Although the X60 lets you zoom in and out of movie recording and playback, you only get to capture 320x240 pixel movies. The camera’s performance was consistent, and high-contrast pictures came out great - but overall image quality is middling compared to other compact cameras reviewed in the lineup.
