JVC LT-42X898 LCD HDTV Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — April, 2008

JVC’s LT-42X898 is a 42-inch LCD HDTV designed to make motion blur a thing of the past with its 120 Hz display technology. It ships fully assembled so you only need to plug it in to use it. This HDTV is slim at only 1.4 inches thick. It comes with a remote control whose buttons well-organized and easy to use. The reviewer subjected it to a barrage of tests, and the unit proved capable of displaying detailed standard and high definition video. It can maintain good clarity even in fast moving images, making it attractive to gamers and sport fans. The only thing it lacks is in the color accuracy department, though with a few tweaks in the color controls, it can produce a realistic picture.
Pros:
-Slim design
-Clear images
-Excellent video processing
Cons:
-Doesn’t support 1080p video input
-Standard color accuracy
-Increased screen glare with off-axis viewing
