In an effort to reclaim the title of King of the Ultraportables, InFocus released its latest champion, the ironically named InFocus Work Big IN10. Weighing 2.4 pounds, the IN10 is a bit heavier than the dethroned LP 120. It’s also a bit brighter, providing 1,800 ANSI lumens. The reviewer stated that the IN10 is the epitome of the shedding-all-but-the-most-useful-features approach. It only has the ports most presenters need: computer, composite video, S-Video, and audio. Even the remote control is minimal, with only 6 available buttons. Performance-wise, the IN10 performed at a moderate level. Contrast ratio came in at 410:1. Comet tails were observed in the upper right of the projected image. Video playback through the S-Video showed a higher level of jaggedness. On a lighter note, the IN10’s 120-watt lamp is rated to last for 4,000 hours at full power, which is twice as long as most other projectors. If you are in search of an ultraportable at a very reasonable price, the InFocus Work Big IN10 is a solid choice.
