HTC Touch Pro Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — November, 2008

The business smartphone market just got bigger with the new HTC Touch Pro. This device feels bulky, and at 5.3 ounces, you wouldn’t forget that it's there in your pocket. The front is reflective, and a fingerprint-magnet as well. It sports a large 2.8-inch 640 x 480 touchscreen that you can use with the included stylus. The built-in accelerometer automatically reorients the screen when the phone is turned to its side. The Touch Pro features a full QWERTY keyboard with large keys and a flat layout, making it difficult to type quickly without making errors. As for software, HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface loads on top of Windows Mobile. Despite the 528-MHz processor, the sluggishness of the UI was still noticeable from time to time. Users can access the Web via the EV-DO and Wi-Fi connections. Multimedia fans will love the fact that the HTC Touch Pro works with both the Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV. Call quality is loud and clear, though background noise is audible. The Touch Pro is rated for up to 4 hours of talk time, shorter if you make it your primary multimedia device. It may be a bit expensive, but the solid build and a plethora of features make the HTC Touch Pro one of the better Windows Mobile smartphones.
Pros:
-stylish
-large keyboard
-fast data performance
-good GPS performance
Cons:
-pricey
-sluggish UI
-no flash for camera
