H&R Block TaxCut Home & Business 2007 Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — April, 2008

H&R Block’s TaxCut is a powerful tax-processing software with lots of added features. Its step by step interview format makes it easy to use. TaxCut gives its users video tutorials so that they can understand tax laws more clearly. Bundled with it is DeductionPro, an application that manages deductions such as charitable donations and medical expenses. There is also a search feature that allows you to go to a particular topic that you wish to know more about. If you don’t understand something, a FAQ section is available to answer to query. However, if you still need further help, don’t worry because you can get support through its Ask a Tax Advisor feature. The Tax Advisor can be reached either through e-mail or phone. For the reviewer, TaxCut needs to polish its interface a bit and work on maximizing deductions for its future version.
Pros:
-Inexpensive live support
-Bundled with business tax and deduction applications
Cons:
-No link to financial institutions
-Below average online support
-Doesn’t maximize deductions
