HP has further expanded its iPAQ line and came up with the successor to the company's hw6900 series, the iPAQ 910. The unlocked handset measures 4.5 by 2.5 by 0.6 inches and weighs a hefty 5.4 ounces. It comes in a glossy black gunmetal-gray chrome surround on the front bezel. The reviewer noted that the iPAQ 910 is the anti-iPhone when it comes to controls - it's covered with buttons, dials and ports. Control can be through the 320-by-240-pixel touch screen and stylus input or the QWERTY keyboard. Despite its small size, HP was able to squeeze in a cell-phone keyboard that is properly spaced and provides just the right resistance. Calls sounded crisp and clear in both directions and reception is strong enough to pick up weak 3G HSDPA signals. For Internet connectivity, the iPAQ 910 supports 3.6/7.2-megabit-per-second HSDPA data networks and also connects to 802.11b/g networks with up to WPA2-level security. Multimedia performance is a mixed bag. The processor is fast enough for smooth full-screen playback of properly encoded video files. Music tracks, on the other hand, sounded poor using the bundled earbuds. Nonetheless, the HP iPAQ 910 is an excellent choice for a business-class device.
Pros:
-good voice quality
-good reception
-has Wi-Fi, GPS, and HSDPA radios
-excellent QWERTY keyboard
Cons:
-hefty
-mediocre camera
-weak speakerphone
