HP Pavilion tx2000z Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — April, 2008

The Pavilion tx2000z is HP’s second try at the convertible tablet market. Unlike its predecessor, the tx1000, it comes with Wacom and touch screen capabilities. Because of these new features, writing with the tx2000z is smoother and a truly enjoyable experience. In terms of design, it really hasn’t change and still looks like the previous version. The keyboards are comfortable but the mouse buttons are hard to press. The tx2000z doesn’t have a FireWire port but it somehow makes up for it with three USB ports. As for performance, this tablet is fast with its Turion 64 X2 TL-66 CPU. On the flipside, it also tends to become very hot. Other than that, the reviewer was quite pleased with the tx2000z.
Pros:
-Wacom capable
-Built-in optical drive
-Long battery life
-Dual microphone
Cons:
-Weighs more than other tablets
-AMD processor gets hot
-Mouse buttons are hard
-Contains lots of bloatware
