HP’s Officejet Pro L7590 All-in-One Printer has several features that easily put it in the league of office-oriented printers. It measures a bulky 14 by 20.7 by 18.4 inches and weighs a hefty 34.3 pounds. Setup is pretty much straightforward. After snapping the trays and the control panel faceplate, you have to install four ink cartridges and two printheads, with each printhead handling two ink colors. Being an office printer, the L7590 has an Ethernet connector and an automatic document feeder (ADF). It can print, scan, and fax over a network and also works as a standalone copier and fax machine. You can also send an e-mail by launching an e-mail message on your PC and attaching a scanned document. Speed-wise, the reviewer stated that the L7590 completed the business applications suite in an impressive 9 minutes 14 seconds. On the other hand, printing photos is in the slow side, averaging 2:30 for each 4-by-6 and 5:21 for each 8-by-10. Output quality is impressive for text and graphics but not photos. The L7590 comes with a built-in duplexer (for two-sided printing) and a 250-sheet input tray - enough for small offices. The reviewer also noted that the running cost is an extraordinarily low 1.5 cents per black-and-white page and 6 cents per color page. For an office all-in-one printer, the HP’s Officejet Pro L7590 is a solid contender.
Pros:
-fast printing
-prints, scans, faxes over network
-a standalone copier and fax
Cons:
-slow photo printing
-sub-par photo quality
