Business travelers have a lot to love with the HP EliteBook 2530p. It comes with a DuraCase lid, made of brushed anodized aluminum and magnesium alloy. It weighs 3.8 pounds, which some may find heavy for an ultraportable. Beneath the lid are touch-sensitive keys and a comfortable to use keyboard. The touchpad is rubbery and has a good amount of resistance, though the touch buttons are narrow. It has a 12.1-inch HP Illumi-Lite LED-backlit display that provided bright images and exceptional viewing angles. The 2530p has a FireWire port, an ExpressCard/54 slot and an SD Card reader but only 2 USB 2.0 ports. To protect your data, it has a 3D accelerometer, TPM 1.2 circuitry, a fingerprint reader, drive encryption, and HP Disk Sanitizer. It also comes with Presto BizCard 5 that automatically scans business cards and saves them in your notebook. The 2530p scores during benchmark tests for both performance and graphics were above average. The reviewer noted that hands-on testing confirmed that the 2530p is a strong performer. The six-cell battery lasted an impressive 6:59 during testing. For the road warriors in search for a tough and elegant ultraportable, the HP EliteBook 2530p is a great choice.
Pros:
-elegantly designed
-great overall performance
-comfortable keyboard
-long battery life
Cons:
-small touchpad buttons
-only two USB ports
