Google Toolbar 5 for Internet Explorer Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — March, 2008

Are toolbars really needed or do they just eat up much needed resources? Google claims that its Toolbar 5 for the Internet Explorer simplifies browsing the Internet and searching online. But what it really does is give Google a way to collect information about your web browsing. After installing the toolbar, the author detected a bit of slowness with the browser. The toolbar’s features include the ability to add Google gadgets, fill in forms with a single click, access the same toolbar configuration from any computer, and clip content to your Google Notebook while browsing. You should install this toolbar if you trust Google with the information regarding your browsing activities.
Pros:
-Additional gadgets for toolbar
-Integrated with Google notebook
-Form auto fill control
-Able to preserve toolbar settings across web-connected PC
Cons:
-Privacy issues hound it
-Clutter the browser
-Slows down the Internet Explorer
