Early in 2007, Google released a program that lets users view Google Maps data over their mobile devices. You can download interactive maps over the internet and view them on your mobile device. You can zoom in on the maps, and can even view satellite photography of the location you’re looking at. Google Maps also sends you walking or driving directions to your destination, making it a good free alternative to more advanced GPS navigation programs. The reviewer also claims that live traffic information is available for 30 major cities in the United States. You can search local businesses via Google Maps and find their address, phone number, and other contact information "this easily integrates with the Contacts on your mobile device. Program installation is also simple" all you have to do is enter http://www.google.com/gmm into your browser’s address bar. The website also contains a helpful guide with tips on how to use Google Maps for your mobile device. Google Maps can be viewed on mobile devices running on Windows Mobile 2003 and later versions.
