Gateway FX7020 Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — May, 2008

Gateway introduces the FX7020, a rig powerful enough to let you play World of Warcraft for hours. If you check inside the hardware, you’ll find a Phenom 9600 processor, AMD’s first quad-core for the consumer market. It also comes with a 512MB nVidia GeForce 8800 GT graphics card. Other features include a 5-in-1 media card reader, an integrated IR receiver paired with a Media Center remote, and a built-in NTSC/ATSC (HDTV) TV tuner. Press the copy button on the card reader and it will duplicate the contents of the card into the relevant folders. For the reviewer, the FX7020 is a good entry-level 3D gaming machine. However, it doesn’t give users the option to upgrade â€" something gamers may not be too happy with.
Pros:
-Graphics for gamers
-Fast quad-core AMD processor
-3GB memory
-Card reader has copy button
-Available backup online and local backup service as well
Cons:
-Internet Security subscription for 60 days only
-Cluttered internal cables
-FireWire port not included
-Motherboard not SLI-compatible
-Labelflash incompatible with LightScribe
