Garmin Forerunner 405 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — June, 2008

While it won’t win any awards for creativity in design, the Garmin Forerunner 405 does exactly what it’s programmed to do - and that is to keep track of your work-outs. It looks like a very simple sports watch, and the reviewer noted that it looked bulky and quite unattractive. It only has 2 buttons, and the rest of the functions are controlled by the 405’s unique touch bezel. It may sound neat, but scrolling through the menus and options by swiping takes getting used to. The GPS functioned well on less-metropolitan areas. However, the reviewer noted that it wasn’t able to function very well in the heart of New York City. The Garmin Forerunner 405 also comes with the Garmin Training Center software which first time users might find to be a bit daunting. Nevertheless, the Garmin Forerunner 405, coupled with the software, can provide interesting data that may be of great help to your working out.
Pros:
-Touch Bezel
-Bevy of features
-Solid GPS performance
Cons:
-Quite expensive
-Uncomfortable design
-Complex software
