Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — March, 2008

It may not look classy and the design may be blah, but if you are looking for an AMD based thin-and-light, then the Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 is a good, if not the only, choice. It makes up for its no-frill-no-thrill design by being lightweight: a mere 4 pounds with an optical drive. For the display, it still retains the traditional yet glossy 4:3 panel with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. The reviewer states that this may be great when looking at vertical documents, but it also means that Vista’s gadgets will be on your way. The S2210 also has the traditional ports, though no VGA port. If you plan to do wireless networking, be prepared to stay near the router as the S2210 doesn’t have 802.11n support. The battery of the S2210 performs poorly, lasting only for 2 hours and 49 minutes. An optional 6-cell modular bay battery should double this, however. Benchmarks for the notebook returned below average performance, though the reviewer stated that you won’t notice the speed differences with everyday productivity apps. If your needs with a laptop are basic and you don’t care much for design, then the S2210 is a fine choice for a notebook.
Pros:
-Sharp screen and vivid colors
-With Modular Bay
-Average performance
Cons:
-Plain looks
-No 802.11n support
