FileMaker Bento Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — March, 2008

FileMaker Bento is a database management application that organizes your information such as contacts, calendars, events, and digital media contents. The Bento is a big improvement from FileMaker previous version. It’s exclusively for Mac OSX Leopard users. Your Mac should also have a minimum of 512MB of RAM installed. The Bento integrates itself with Address Books and iCal but one drawback is that it does not have a calendar display. There are four levels of information in Bento. These are libraries, collections, records, and fields. If you want to keep track of your collections and inventories, the reviewer recommends the use of Bento.
Pros:
-User-friendly interface
-Templates available
-Easy design
Cons:
-Can’t share or any reports generated
-Leopard exclusive
-CSV for import and export only
