Eye-Fi Card Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — March, 2008

If you have a Wi-Fi connection and a digital camera then the Eye-Fi Card is the gadget for you. The 2GB Eye-Fi Card looks like an ordinary SD card. It also works just like a SD card would do. The difference is that it has a built-in Wi-Fi technology inside its frame. To start using it, you have to install the web-based Eye-Fi Manager which is preloaded on the card itself. The card runs smoothly and transfers images from the camera to the PC seamlessly. There’s just one downside to it. The card can drain your camera’s battery. The Eye-Fi is a ground-breaking product that makes any compatible camera wireless.
Pros:
-Transfers images from camera to PC wirelessly
-Easy to install and use
-Works with most cameras
-Compatible with PC and Mac
Cons:
-Doesn’t work in public Wi-Fi spots
-Uploads JPEGs only
-Drains battery
