At $1,649, the Epson PowerLite 1735W is certainly not cheap. But if you are looking for a projector that (almost) has everything, this is the one to get. The 1735W weighs a good 4 pounds. On top of the projector is a control panel that’s useful and well-designed. Also included is a remote control that lacks a laser pointer and a button to switch to low-power mode. A bevy of input options can be found on the 1735W. Aside from the standard ports, you also get a USB connector for laptop connections and another to accept a USB Flash memory drive. A third USB connector in a small panel is used for a special Wi-Fi adapter. Lab tests have shown that the 1735W had an illumination of 2618 lumens. Contrary to the 2000:1 ratio Epson advertises, it only scored 154:1. The reviewer noted that the images produced by the projector measured 73 inches in diagonal at a distance of 5 feet. Images looked sharp and steady as well as amazingly large. The 1735W offers several ways to connect your notebook to the projector wirelessly. Bundled with the projector are NS Connect, EMP SlideMaker2 and EMP Monitor software. If your priorities in a projector include being light, bright, wireless and easy to setup, the Epson PowerLite 1735W is a very good choice.
