Ecamm Network Nutshell Reviews

Summary of review published by Handheld Computing — July, 2005 (page 71)

Installing PalmOS software can be easy, with self-extracting, self-deleting clean archives, or it can be akin to planting potatoes--unpack a file, put it where it's supposed to go, unpack another file, put it where it goes, ad infinitum ad nauseam. Nutshell makes the latter into the former. It works on a PC, thereby giving you ample room to work, and allows you to unpack those files that may not be transferable over the air, then repack them into a standards-compliant self-extracting archive, ready to beam to the Palm and with one click, installs whatever goes wherever. This is primarily a tool for developers seeking to make life easy on their end-users, but it comes in extremely handy for the average end-user as well, simplifying the business of getting all those .prc and .pdb files where they're supposed to be easily and quickly. Set it up on the PC, sync it, click the icon, and you're done.
Pros:
-Easy to use and convenient
Cons:
-None
