Dynamism WiBrain-B1E Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — March, 2008

Road warriors will find an ally in the WiBrain B1E, a full-featured ultra-mobile PC. With its beautiful 4.8-inch display, 50-key QWERTY keyboard which is neatly divided into 2 sections and weighing only at 1.2 pounds, the B1E has just about everything you will need. The reviewer noted that the B1E is far less unwieldy than its counterparts, and that anyone who’s held a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 controller will be right at home with the system’s two-handed grip. However, the reviewer found several issues with the B1E. To connect multiple devices via USB, you need a USB hub as the B1E only has only 1 port. Also, the 512 RAM that comes with the B1E is not expandable Nevertheless, the reviewer was able to alternate on different programs without the system bogging down. The biggest caveat of the B1E is its very short WiFi range. The reviewer recommends being extremely close to the router when surfing. Its abysmal 3.2-Mbps throughput at 50 feet is the worst in its class. Despite its flaws, if you are looking for power and portability without costing you an arm and a leg, the WiBrain B1E is a solid choice for everyday computing tasks.
Pros:
-Great display
-Touchscreen
-Long battery life
Cons:
-Non-expandable 512Mb RAM
-Very shory WiFi range
-Only 1 USB port
