Heralded by the reviewer as the best 13.3-inch notebook when it was released, the Dell XPS M1330 looked even better when compared with newer entries and their price range as well as trade-offs. With its sharp design, a full keyboard rivaling that of the more expensive ThinkPad X300, the M1330 definitely has class. It has an HDMI port, but the reviewer wished that there was a Blu-ray drive option. The 13.3-inch LED-backlit screen produced rich and vivid colors and images with excellent motion and shadow detail handling. The Penryn processor gives the already excellent M1330 the push it needs to be even better. Benchmarks results were excellent in its class, and boot up time was very quick. Mobile broadband is also available through EV-DO Rev. A or HSDPA. Battery life is also good with the extended 9-cell battery, though it adds a bit of heft. With a top-notch screen, comfortable keyboard, sharp design, great battery life, mobile broadband, and a price of less than $2000, the Dell XPS M1330 is indeed one great notebook for consumers.
