The Dell Latitude D630 gets an upgrade in the form of the Latitude E6400. The E6400 packs the features needed by those who are always on the move. It comes in three different colors: Regal Red, Regatt Blue and Mica-Brushed Metal. The body is made of magnesium alloy, giving it a sturdy feel. It packs a 14.1-inch, 1280 x 800-pixel resolution display which looked good overall despite being not so bright. The keyboard is firm but springy, providing an excellent typing experience. It has the expected ports along with an eSATA, ExpressCard/54 and a 5-in-1 memory card reader. The E6400 is powered by a 2.26-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor and 2GB of RAM - enough muscle for a smooth computing experience. Graphics performance is below average, though the reviewer noted that this is expected from a system with integrated graphics. The unit came with only an 802.11b/g wireless connection, providing slow data transfer rates. For an 802.11n connection, you would have to pay extra. Security features for the E6400 includes a contactless Smart Card reader, TPM, an optional biometric fingerprint reader, and Intel’s vPro technology. The nine-cell battery lasted for 5 hours and 17 minutes. Security, durability and performance make the Dell Latitude E6400 a very good option.

Pros:
-Excellent security and durability
-Sleek design
-Long battery life
-Intuitive software
Cons:
-Small touchpad
-Not too bright display
