Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0 Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — March, 2008

Not everything in this world is free but if you’re looking for a firewall then the author recommends Comodo’s Firewall Pro 3.0. Don’t be skeptical about it. For a free product, it gets the job done. Firewall Pro does protect your system and could be used by novice and expert users alike. Unlike the previous version, it has a built in user interface. Plus Pro 3.0 uses less resource than the previous version. At installation you have the option on which protection level you prefer. With Basic, you’ll have a personal firewall to protect your system against malicious attacks. If you opt for the Advanced, you’ll have Defense+ feature on top of the basic firewall. Defense+ monitors and protects more critical system resources. To cut down on popup queries, at installation you’ll be asked to automatically approve any program in Comodo’s database of safe programs. Also at Defense+ mode, it starts in clean PC. It will assume that every application in the hard drive is safe. The author tested the Firewall Pro and it passed with flying colors thus earning a recommendation from the author.
Pros:
-Contains all basic firewall tasks
-Protects the computer from malware attacks
-Proactive detection blocks leaks
-Automatically configure with safe application
Cons:
-Proactive detection flags a couple of innocent applications
