The Chrosziel GmbH 450-A is a feature-packed matte box. It has both a fixed stage, accepting 4x5.65 and 4x4 filters, and a rotating stage, that only accommodates the 4x4 type. No tools are needed to lock the filter trays. They are spring-loaded to grip glass filters. For widescreen shots, there is a plastic snap-in front mask attachment. Other than this, the unit is made wholly of metal. It comes with a lightweight French flag that fold in half, while the side flags are expandable. The reviewer was impressed by the matte box’s fit and finish, and sees it doing well on all kinds of camera rigs.
