It fits to standard 15mm rods and locks solid in place with one knob, which also locks the horizontal slide adjustment. The slide and gearbox are dampened, making movements smooth and virtually noise-free. The reviewer tested the unit and found almost no slop in the gears. The Chrosziel DV follow focus is reliable and includes all the features you need, able to handle both 35mm cinema and 35mm still camera lenses effortlessly. This unit doesn’t come cheap, but it’s worth every penny.
