Expanding its Super Slim line, Casio releases the Casio XJ-S57. Sporting the same sleek low profile, the XJ-S57 is barely an inch and a half high. This means that you can easily stop the XJ-S57 into a laptop case and won’t be ostentatious during presentations. It can beam out 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness which is enough for most indoor presentations. It has a 2x zoom range which generates the largest images among the competition. It offers a USB port that can accept an optional USB Wi-Fi adapter for a wireless connection to a computer. The reviewer noted that during lab tests, the XJ-S57 was an excellent performer. It produced a brightness of 2612 lumens which is within the acceptable margin. On the other hand, the contrast ratio was the lowest at 283:1. With the large image size, HDTV images at 1080i were stunning and had zero pixelation. However, the cooling fan sounded noisy on both regular and low-power Eco modes. The Casio XJ-S57 is certainly not for bargain hunters, with an asking a price of more than a grand. However, if you have the cash, the Casio XJ-S57 is certainly worth every penny.
