It may look like a DSLR camera, but it’s not. The Casio Exilim EX-F1 was designed to look like a DSLR â€" the electronic view finder, the shape, the rubber grips, down to the long 12x zoom lens. It offers a 2.8-inch LCD screen if looking through the view finder isn’t your thing. The reviewer noted that using the LCD during a bright sunny day wasn’t a problem. However, unlike simpler cameras, the buttons of the EX-F1 are not self-explanatory. Reading the manual is a must. The UI on the other hand, is less complicated. One of the highlights of the EX-F1 is the ability to shoot at high-speeds, producing slow motion videos. You can choose between 300, 600 or 1200 FPS, though the reviewer recommends the 300 FPS. Aside from slow motion videos, the EX-F1 can also record full HD videos. Another great feature is the high-burst shooting that can take 60 images within a second. While that may sound fast, the camera was slow during boot up and in-between shots. If you want a camera that’s “almost” DSLR with the ability to shoot HD videos, the Casio Exilim EX-F1 is worth every cent.
