Casio Exilim Card EX-S10 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — April, 2008

For Casio, thin is the way cameras should be, and in that aspect, the Casio Exilim Card EX-S10 may just be the cream of the crop. Measuring only 0.54 inches at its thinnest part, the reviewer stated that it is the best-designed camera to fit into the pocket of a tight pair of jeans. It includes a 10.1-megapixel image sensor, 3X optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD. Features looked quite good on paper, but performance-wise, the Exilim Card EX-S10 was found lacking. Shots taken with the camera in general weren’t sharp enough. Close-up images in Macro mode were soft, and the reviewer noted that some of them were out of focus. When taking pictures of moving objects, the EX-S10 fared poorly, as almost all of the images produced were blurry. The camera has a video mode called YouTube Capture Mode which automatically optimizes the camera’s video clips for the site. However, though recording was easy, the video’s quality was mediocre. If your need for a camera hovers on very basic snapshots, the slimness, style, and portability of the Casio Exilim Card EX-S10 will serve you well.
Pros:
-Slim profile
-Fast performance
-2.7-inch display

Cons:
-Shots in macro mode soft
-Poor performance with moving subjects
-Mediocre video quality
