Canon Realis X700 Reviews

Summary of review published by PC Magazine — May, 2008

Canon’s Realis X700 is an XGA projector that provides the best possible image quality. With its LCoS technology, it avoids the rainbow effect of DLP projectors and the screen-door effect of LCD variants. Compared to the X600, the Realis X700 is much brighter and has a wider color range. Although it’s light enough to be moved around in its soft carrying case, it’s better-suited for fixed installation. The only thing to complain about it really is that its built-in audio is too soft even at top volume. If you can get pass that, then you’ll appreciate the X700 as a decent projector. As for the reviewer, the X700 convinced him enough to give it his seal of approval.
Pros:
-Better than LCD and DLP projectors
-Superior image quality
Cons:
-Inferior built-in audio
-Heavy and bulky
