The reviewer says that the Canon PowerShot G6 comes off as a camera for those who are serious about photography. In fact, the G6 has an information display on top of the camera similar to those found in SLRs. This allows photographers to view the camera’s settings at any given time. The 2-inch swivel LCD is usually viewable outdoors, and the viewfinder has excellent diopter adjustment. The high quality camera lens is also much faster than its competitors (f/2.0). Although the internal flash is powerful, the camera includes a standard shoe that you can use to attach external lighting when necessary. Thanks to Canon’s DIGIC processor, the automatic mode of this camera is impressive. It can automatically recognize scenery and give you the ideal exposure and white balance you need for your images. The autofocus is also flexible, since it allows you to focus on off-center objects. It’s also no surprise that the manual focus of this camera works just as well and also gives the same amount of clarity. Don’t expect much from the movie mode, though. The frame rate is at a weak 10fps, with a 30-second limit.
