Canon expands its all-in-one offerings with the Canon Pixma MX850. Despite the change in naming convention, the MX850 is actually the successor of the Pixma MP830. The features that made the MP830 found its way into this new printer, including fast speed and high-quality output. One big plus you get with the MX850 is the network connectivity and the lower price. While it measures 10.2 by 20 by 19 inches (HWD) and weighs a hefty 30.7 pounds, the reviewer noted that it can fit nicely into any size office. It prints, scans, and works as a standalone copier and fax machine. Timing it using the reviewers business applications suite, the MX850 clocked in at an impressive 12 minutes 34 seconds. Printing 4-by-6 averaged 54 seconds and 1:45 for each 8-by-10. The quality is much better than most ink jets as well. Fonts are easily readable even in sizes 6 and 8. Photos printed by the MX850 qualified as true photo quality. They are highly water resistant though prone to scratching. Nonetheless, the speed and print quality of the Canon Pixma MX850 make it easy to recommend for home, office, or both.
Pros:
-fast
-automatic document feeder
-network connectivity
Cons:
-full-page graphics curl up plain paper
