Canon EF-S 10-22mm Reviews

Summary of review published by Digital Camera Magazine — April, 2006 (page 43)

This Canon EF-S lens was made to match the sensors of the Digital Rebel XT and 20D digital SLR models. At less than 14 ounces, this wide-angled lens is lightweight, and great for your ordinary photography needs. Since it’s only 3.5 inches long, its compactness makes it ideal for photojournalism as well. The 10mm depth of field is amazing, and by setting the ring at 3 feet, you’ll be able to keep everything beyond 1.5 feet of the camera in excellent focus. The EF-S 10-22 mm has internal zooming capabilities, but its elements don’t rotate, making it fit easily with additional filters you may need. The lenses are also perfect for extra-wide shooting, but they are also good for taking medium close-ups. The wide aperture makes it ideal for shooting on location with available light. The reviewer says that this is the lens to get for APS-C sized sensor cameras, if you want great photos with spatial effects.
Pros:
-Amazing depth of field
-Fits easily with additional filters
Cons:
-None
