CTL IL1PC Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — June, 2008

The makers of the 2go PC decided that it’s time to dip their hands into the mini-notebook pie and came up with the CTL IL1PC. Weighing in at 2.4 pounds, the IL1PC is heavier and had a bigger footprint than the ASUS EEE 900. It comes with a 7-inch screen which the reviewer found to be brightly lit, though quite small. And because of the 800 x 480 native resolution, content looked stretched and required horizontal scrolling. When it comes to storage, the IL1PC gains the upper hand with a 60GB hard drive instead of a solid state drive. The keyboard is cramped â€" good enough for short messages but for long typing jobs, the reviewer stated that a USB keyboard is recommended. The touchpad as well as the buttons were on the small side as well. Performance-wise, the VIA processor and the 1GB of RAM of the IL1PC didn’t fare well. Benchmark scores were among the lowest and multitasking with the IL1PC proved to be difficult. The Wi-Fi, on the other hand, performed quite well. While it does have some good points, the mediocre performance coupled with the small screen makes the CTL IL1PC unworthy of your cash.
Pros:
-Bright display
-Big storage
-Good battery endurance
Cons:
-Small screen
-Weak performance
-Small keyboard
