Boris Fx 9 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — March, 2007

The new Boris FX 9 can provide a wide variety of effects as an advanced level plug-in application for all kinds of video editing software. Want custom transitions, 3D titles, or motion tracking? It lets you do all of these, and more. Boris FX 9 just happens to be compatible with almost all editing software available. Boris FX 9 includes hundreds of animations, 115 filters, and a sizeable number 3D shapes than you can use as you wish. You can even use it for unsupported apps like Adobe's Premiere Elements, or Apple's iMovie applications, if you feel the need to. When the Boris FX interface pops up, it looks sleeker but still quite familiar. FX9 is definitely an improvement from the previous versions. Most of the issues with the Boris FX interface were addressed. Windows can now be dynamically scaled to size, with tabbed workspace, and new customizable polished looking buttons. Boris FX 9 shows that a few intuitive upgrades can make a silky smooth visual effects package for those who want more control.
Pros:
-Excellent compatibility
-Improved user interface
-The demo is downloadable
Cons:
-Switching between applications
