While a Bluetooth headset gives drivers the chance to still use their phones without violating any traffic law, having to fumble with the controls around the headset can still be a pain. BlueAnt came up with a very good solution: the voice activated BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Headset. The V1 comes in a short and chunky shape in a glossy finish with fine silver and gray stripes. It ships with two ear loops, two foam ear covers, and two rubber ones. After assembly, the reviewer found the headset to be too loose. Except for turning on the unit, the user can access every function of the device via voice control. However, the reviewer stated that using the voice activated control in real-world situations proved to be difficult. The unit wouldn’t respond to commands outdoors, even if the environment was quiet. The V1 offers BlueAnt’s noise cancellation which performed excellently. It can go up to 33 feet without the signal breaking up. The V1 can also pair with up to five devices simultaneously. While the voice control needs major improvement, it does work in some cases. Combine this with the call quality and the multipoint technology of the BlueAnt V1 Voice Control Headset, and you get a good headset of choice.
