Blackberry Curve 8310 for AT&T Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — May, 2008

Following the successful BlackBerry Curve 8300, AT&T introduces the BlackBerry Curve 8310 in their roster of smart phones. It has all the features Blackberry users have come to know and love. Sporting the same design as its predecessor, it offers the same 2.5-inch screen and the QWERTY keyboard which is still well spaced and as thumb-friendly. The 8310 is loaded with features such as music and video playback, a 2MP camera with flash and 5x zoom, and a microSD slot. The 8310 offers GPS via AT&T’s Navigator service. The reviewer noted that it worked well on wide, open spaces but almost non-existent around tall buildings. It also lets you receive traffic updates on preprogrammed routes via email or text message. Push-email is something that comes natural with Blackberrys, and the 8310 is no exception. The reviewer noted that setting up accounts was fast and painless. The 8310 also comes with the BlackBerry Messenger IM software and other popular messaging clients. Unlike its predecessor, calls with the 8310 are more reliable. Battery life is good, lasting for 2 days without a recharge. By retaining the winning formula of the Blackberry while adding more productivity power, the 8310 is a sure winner.
Pros:
-GPS service available
-Great call quality
-Sleek design and keyboard
-Excellent media player
Cons:
-No Wi-Fi
-No video recording
-microSD placed behind battery
