Considered a breakthrough product, Blackmagic Design’s Intensity card allows editors with PCI-e computers to capture input from and send out to HDMI devices, which most HD TVs are right now. Meanwhile, another version, the Intensity Pro, also supports analog audio and video. Both Intensity and Intensity Pro works in the Mac OS and Windows platforms, and supports applications like Final Cut Studio, Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. Since HDMI is a strong format, serious editors need the ability to preview HD sources. Intensity Pro lets you do this and still work with analog SD, all without breaking the bank.
