Belkin N Wireless F5D8233-4 Reviews

Summary of review published by Laptop Magazine — March, 2008

The Belkin N Wireless F5D8233-4 is the lower version of the Belkin N1 Vision. With only two antennas costing $90 less, the reviewer found the N Wireless slower than the N1 Vision. Setting it up is a bit more complicated than the usual Linksys and D-Link setup because it asks for information the reviewer thinks the router should just figure out. Despite the lack of 256-bit security encryption and Gigabit Ethernet port, the reviewer stated that speeds attained by the N Wireless are still decent. What’s more, the N Wireless provides more coverage, giving 8 Mbps at 500 feet. Though the Belkin N Wireless doesn’t have the fastest throughput in town, the ranges you get makes up for it.
Pros:
-Decent performance
-Wide range
-Low price
Cons:
-No Gigabit Ethernet port
-No 256-bit security encryption
-Unnecessary complication during setup
