Archos Pocket Media Assistant Reviews

Summary of review published by Digital Camera Magazine — October, 2005

While the new Archos model is pricey and a bit difficult to navigate, it may be worth the cost if you need a wide variety of device options and are constantly on the go. Of course, it keeps track of your calendar and possesses the most storage available on a portable unit, but the Pocket Media Assistant 430 also records and plays back video with a picture better than most televisions. It stores and plays audio files, allows gaming, adapts to either WiFi or wired internet options. The battery provides a full 10 hours of power, which you may well need as you try to convert imported video files to playable modes.
Pros:
-TV-quality video playback
-video, audio, and digital photo -capabilities
-ten hour battery life
-PC connections included
Cons:
-software is difficult to use
-most playback files have to be converted
