Anton/Bauer EgripZ Reviews

Summary of review published by DV Magazine — November, 2007

Shooting for long hours can be stressful. Anton Bauer’s EgripZ is a flexible crossbar handle that attaches to your handheld camera, providing a simple way to take better control and ease the strain. There are soft rubber grips that extend out from both sides to grasp and control it in many unique ways. The handles are stiff enough to bear the weight of the camcorder yet flexible enough to each be bent in any direction in a 130-degree arc. You can also use a monopod or other accessories with the EgripZ attached with a standard mount at the bottom of the unit. The reviewer laments the lack of a quick release mechanism, though, as you need a coin or screwdriver to detach the unit. Aside from this, its lightweight and convenience makes it a great constant companion during shoots.
Pros:
-Weight
-Uncomplicated
-Great for stability
-Minimizes strain
Cons:
-Lack of quick release
