Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — October, 2007

In terms of quantity, the number of Adobe Premiere CS3 enhancements pale in comparison to CS2. However, don’t be disappointed because these precious few are top-notch in terms of quality. The most notable improvements are the long-awaited Mac compatibility, variable-rate slow motion that produces an incredibly fluid effect, multiple project panels with improved search and organizing functions, and several editing and audio refinements. Adobe's Premiere Pro is no longer just a timeline editor. With the release of CS3, it has become a total video production workflow solution. Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium now includes such programs as Encore, OnLocation, Device Central and Bridge. OnLocation gives professional videographers the capability of doing real-time audio-video analysis, which used to require lugging seven dedicated hardware devices. With a compatible Blu-ray burner, Encore now lets you burn your HD project to Blu-ray discs. Using Bridge, you can search, arrange, sort, rank and preview assets in just about every conceivable format. For exporting videos to any device or format, such as iPod or YouTube, Device Central is your best bet. With a new integrated suite of supporting programs, Premiere CS3 is more powerful than ever.
Pros:
-Premiere is now a powerful and complete set of video production tools
Cons:
-Only a few real improvements to the core editor
