Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 Reviews

Summary of review published by VideoMaker — February, 2007

There isn’t a more satisfying answer to all your video-editing needs than the Adobe Premiere 3.0. Though built more for quantity than for quality, its success has always been in its ability to satisfy high-end hobbyists who vie for a more complicated, full-featured program while also catering to simpler, more limited users. Armed with such features as monitor-window editing and sceneline shot arrangement or more sophisticated upgrades such as stop-motion animation, HDV support and unprotected DVD capture, Adobe Premiere 3.0 is a top-performer in the $100 and under video editing software category. It also possesses elegant solutions to get video onto your computer: iMovie-style capture windows to input from a camcorder and the ability to import still-image slide shows from Photoshop Elements. Editing capabilities include all three types of editing interfaces which one can choose from: a timeline interface, a storyboard interface or a monitor-window based interface. With all these features on the table, Adobe Premiere 3.0 is a dream for both intermediate and beginning editors.
Pros:
-Photoshop Elements integration
-Timeline, Storyboard and Monitor interfaces
-Great for beginners as well as serious hobbyists
Cons:
-Slow rendering
-Lacks HD DVD or Blu-ray support
